Mr. Darcy, revealed

Truthfully?  I had no intention of making Mr. Darcy so appealing.  The character was based on a snob of my acquaintance who employed the new-fangled “back-handed compliment” to devastating effect on well-reared ladies who mistook his meaning.

I wish I had never thought of putting such a reprobate into my stories. *sigh*
